"While enrolled in Fort Lewis College as an engineering student (and bored to death), I found my true passion after I stumbled into an Intro to Ecological Sciences course. Shortly thereafter, I was working under the direction of the National Science Foundation studying the impact of fire management in the forests of Yellowstone National Park. This passion of natural forest management was instrumental in my pursuit of individual forest management. I am motivated by the rewards of helping individuals maintain and protect the trees on their property. The immeasurable emotional connection and financial value of the woods in forested communities is what I now strive to protect and preserve for my clients.
My love for this industry and my desire to do it right prompted me to start Knothead Tree and Lawn Care in February of 2008. I see myself as a problem solver, not a salesman. I am driven to cultivate and maintain relationships with my customers, and to be a partner in the development of their long-term landscape aspirations. We offer complete tree, shrub, and lawn care diagnostics, consulting, and treatment options. This includes, but is not limited to, tree removals/pruning, fire mitigation/defensible space strategies, insect and disease diagnosis/treatment, and general plant health care consultation.
